GLB Constructions was engaged by Aurora Pty Ltd (Aurora Energy) to execute the complete office fit-out for their new Launceston premises. Delivered within a tight four-month timeframe, the project transformed an approximately 900m² space into a modern, highly functional corporate office, with a paramount focus on achieving superior acoustic performance for privacy and productivity.

Solution and Scope of Works

The project's success hinged on delivering a sophisticated design while meeting strict technical specifications. The comprehensive scope included:

• Acoustic Specialisation: Full demolition of existing offices and construction of new internal walls with a critical emphasis on high acoustic ratings to eliminate sound transfer between private offices and meeting rooms.
• Architectural Features: Installation of a semi-automatic operable wall, custom joinery, high-end feature lighting, and premium wall linings.
• Infrastructure: Complete refit of new amenities and modern service integration throughout the floor plan.

Overcoming Project Challenges

The tight four-month delivery schedule and unique site logistics presented significant challenges:

1. Restricted Access: The site was located on the 2nd level of a multi-storey building, requiring careful logistical planning for material delivery and waste removal.
2. Occupied Building: The adjacent floors and building remained fully operational. To minimize disruption to other tenants, GLB strictly adhered to noise restrictions, often completing noisy works outside of normal business hours.

Despite these constraints, our team's dedication and commitment ensured the project was delivered on time and on budget.
